Editing A Page

  1. Login to the CMS at either www.angryfrog.io or www.smodv.com 
  2. Open up the main menu by clicking on the brown arrow in the upper left corner of the screen 
  3. Click on Content Management > Pages 
  4. To access the page that you are trying to edit, you can either click on the title of the page in the far left column, or click on the blue pencil icon in the actions column to the far right 
  5. Edit the basic page content by using the supplied text editor. A guide for using the text editor can be found here.
  6. To insert an image in to the page, use the following steps:
    • Scroll down below the text editor, to the Upload Photo box.
    • Upload an image by either dragging and dropping it in to the box, or by clicking on the box to open the uploader
    • Once uploaded, a thumbnail of the image will appear just above the upload box. Click the blue Insert button on the thumbnail to insert it in to the page 
    • You will be given a selection of sizes to choose from along with the original size. It is recommended that you have the image cropped to the required size before uploading.
    • If you upload the wrong image, or no longer require it, you can delete it by clicking on the small red trash icon on the thumbnail 
      • NOTE: The same basic steps can used to upload text files and videos using their respective upload boxes.
  7. To add the page to a menu on your website (such as the top menu), scroll below the text editor until you see you see a tab titled ‘Choose Menu’. From the dropdown options, select the menu that you would like the page placed in. 
  8. To add the page to a menu and make it a part of a dropdown down menu from another menu item, scroll below the text editor until you see a tab titled ‘Parent’. From the dropdown options, select the page that would like the dropdown menu to appear under.
  9. To change the order of which a page appears in a menu, scroll down below the text editor until you see a tab titled ‘ priority’. The smaller value you give the priority, the higher up it will appear in the menu. For example, if Page One has a priority of 4, and Page Two has a priority of 5, Page One will appear first in the menu.
  10. To insert a gallery in to the page, click on the blue ‘Galleries’ button at the top of the page. From the list given, find the gallery you wish to insert and then click the ‘Insert Gallery As Plugin’ button. 
  11. If you make a change to a page that you are not satisfied with and you would like to roll it back to an older version, you can do so by clicking on the orange ‘Restore to Previous Version’ button in the upper right of the page. When the button is clicked on, a list will appear containing different versions of the page based on each time it has been saved. The list will be in chronological order, with the most recent being at the bottom. Select the version that you would like to use and click the blue ‘Restore This Version’ button.
  12. Once you have finished editing the page, you will need to save your changes for them to appear on the live website. You can do this by clicking on the green ‘Update Page’ button at the top or bottom of the page.
